Yoga means to yolk or unite, and what Kelley offers to her students is a time-out from daily life to let go of distraction and become whole, as well as to stretch, strengthen and balance in a safe, supportive atmosphere. She teaches in a way that’s like a moving meditation, and gives her students luxurious time to take refuge in the present, find compassion and let go. Through both flowing movement and holding and breathing through longer postures, students slough off layers of doubt, fear and negativity and leave feeling much better than when they arrived!

Most problems can be solved with the right tools and understanding. The body alignment class (using the Egoscue Method), is designed to help people change and understand their compensation patterns. The class is a series of gentle exercises designed to restore the body back to how it was designed.

My class is more of a party atmosphere where we dance around the globe to different international music. Salsa, Merengue, Reggeaton, Cumbia, Samba, Bhangra, Cha cha, Mambo, Salsaton, etc. My students learn to work out with proper form and everyone has a good time.

Core Conditioning with Shana Morrison

Core Conditioning aims to increase flexibility and mobility while creating a lengthened and lean body. Using props such as balls, weights, foam rollers, and magic circles, we challenge balance, tone the muscles and facilitate ease of movement. Utilizing a mix of various Pilates, Dance, Feldenkrais, and Gyrokenesis techniques, this class is great for all levels!

 

Ashtanga Yoga with Robert Marlowe

Ashtanga is a form of hatha yoga which focuses on asana (posture) and pranayama (breath control.) It is a 5000 year old practice which was updated in the 90′s by Larry Schultz’s Rocket series that he created for the Grateful Dead and is the mother of power yoga. This is a more vigorous class, not suitable for beginners.
